We drove out to Jim and Phillip’s home for their engagement session in Oklahoma City. There’s a flower growing in their backyard. For the life of me, I can’t remember it’s name. But since Phillip is a botanist, he had a wealth of knowledge about it. It’s delicate and light blue and beautiful. The flower is native to Oklahoma but still rare. I loved that about the flower. It’s unique, even where it’s native. And I think that’s a perfect picture of Jim and Phillip. They have big, big hearts. You can walk through their home and see how they’ve filled it with thoughtful, sentimental pieces of their lives and you can see it in the way they care for their animals. Their landscaping and home were designed with intentionality and heart. That is how they live their lives. With intentionality and heart.
We could have spent an entire day with them in their home and never come close to documenting all the goodness there is to be seen! Lucky for us, they’ve decided to have their ceremony in their yard. I’m bursting with ideas to shoot for their wedding day! The end of April is coming so quickly!
