It’s the season for Oklahoma engagement photography, isn’t it? The weather is finally getting nice. Everyone is coming out of their homes. Personally, I feel like I’ve been in hibernation mode and all of a sudden I’m seeing neighbors and running into friends outside. I love the spring! And although part of the way through the sky was obstructed with smoke from wildfires that were blazing in western Oklahoma [that I sincerely hope everyone was safe from]… Jessie, Kooper, and I had a fun Edgemere Park engagement session.
Jessie and Kooper were high school sweethearts. High school sweetheart stories warm my heart. I think there’s so much history you get to be a part of when you’ve dated since high school. Philip can hear stories, but he wasn’t part of them. I’ve changed a lot since I was in high school and Philip has only been there for part of it. But Jessie and Kooper, they have history. Deep history. And they get to go through these formative years together. They get to grow together and become who they are together. Ah, yes… high school sweetheart stories warm my heart!
While we were shooting… and in between asking them to cuddle a ton… I got to hear tidbits of their story. I heard about their first kiss. What they loved about each other and things that made them proud of each other. Some of those were whispered softly into each others ears and even though I’m nosy and I’m dying to hear every word… sometimes things are better left as sweet little secrets between the two of them.
