She text me first, asking if I was available December 15, 2017 to shoot her wedding. I don’t know how to do backflips but in that moment I reeeaaaalllllyyyy wish I knew how. I was so excited! As we talked on the phone while I was sitting out on the porch I got to hear Beth Anne gush about Chris and hear about what parts of her wedding day photography and videography she cared most about. I mean, she had me at, “I’m getting married,” but as she described her details I got more and more excited and didn’t even try to contain my excitement. So here we are, at Chris and Beth Anne’s wedding at The Nest at Ruth Farms, don’t try to contain your excitement either… you will probably explode.
Their story is one of near misses and second chances. A story where everyone but the girl knows exactly what is going to happen, and a story where in the end, love wins out. You can read more of their love story and see their engagement photos in the Oklahoma Salt Plains on a recent KET post. Their wedding day was a dream! I have been trying to decide which parts to write about but I have so many I’m afraid I won’t be able to do it justice. Can we start with her dress? That lace was just incredible! And I love, love, loved the eclectic colors of her bridesmaid dresses. It came together so perfectly. But I didn’t just love the dresses, those girls are so much fun! It was amazing to see so many amazing women circled around Beth Anne… and so many gentlemen surrounding Chris on their day. It solidified the sneaky notion I have that they are some of the best friends you could ask for.
But if you’re going to make me choose my favorite… it’s this… The way Beth Anne’s dad just followed her around in amazement all day long. The way he looked at her and doted on her…. it wasn’t just precious, it was inspiring! Phil Rice, take notes on how to love on our daughter 🙂
